About me

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 8 years of experience supporting individuals and families through a variety of life challenges. I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Widener University’s Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology, where I also earned a Master of Business Administration. Following this, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at The Center for Anxiety and Wellness, gaining specialized expertise in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

In addition to my clinical work, I spent two years teaching high school clinical psychology and have been a guest lecturer on Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy for Depression at Widener University.

I also serve on the Board of the Pennsylvania chapter of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS), the professional organization that oversees the development and practice of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.​​

My Approach 

Two basic truths inform my approach to therapy: (1) struggle is built into the fabric of life and (2) all human beings possess wellsprings of strength which they can draw upon to face and overcome their unique challenges. You are living evidence to these two truths: You have found your way here because life has presented you with struggle, and your decision to seek therapy proves that you have the strength to persevere.

At its core, my approach to therapy is guided by these two truths. Together, clients and I work to identify the unique struggle they are facing. We work to understand it, how it manifests, the impact it has, and what factors perpetuate it in the present. At the same time, we work to find their inner strength, build upon their capabilities, and to make clear and sustainable change in their lives.  

How do we do this?

 

I utilize several theoretical frameworks, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Psychoanalytic therapy. What does all that mean? Well, it really means that it depends on the particular needs and preferences of each individual client. For some, our work will be narrowly focused on achieving very specific goals by utilizing very specific cognitive and behavioral techniques. For others, exploration of the past will be an important part of understanding the present. And yet for others, the therapeutic relationship itself becomes an invaluable tool used to understand difficulties and support growth. For most, therapy is some combination of these elements. Ultimately, therapy is a collaborative process and so, you will have a lot of influence in shaping what form it takes.

What age clients do you work with?

Generally, I work with teens and adults. I also work with younger children who are self-motivated to attend therapy.   

Where does therapy take place?
Therapy can be conducted either in-person at my office in Cherry Hill, NJ, or online via Telehealth.

What issues do you specialize in?​

I specialize in helping individuals achieve greater psychological freedom from:

Where are you licensed to practice?

I am licensed to provide in-person therapy in New Jersey, and I am also authorized to offer Telehealth sessions in 41 other states through PSYPACT. For a full list of PSYPACT participating states, please click here.

What are the therapy fees?

A standard 45-minute session is $225. 

Do you accept insurance?

I am not directly contracted with any insurance company. However, I am considered an “out-of-network” provider and am happy to provide you with everything you need to submit for eligible reimbursement from your insurance company.
